A very easily worked material, I have carried out some experimental handle tests and it works really well with bottle shaped scales and sculpted handles.

Layers of laminated and compressed Black Walnut with Wenge forend tips dyed Black, Ginger Brown, and Green. This laminate is often used as rifle stocks. Treated with CCL oil and Carnauba wax it can look very different.
