It is found in the Dominican Republic, Cuba, Jamaica, northern Guatemala, Belize, Bonaire, Curacao, Aruba(rare) and from the Yucatán to Veracruz in Mexico. The wood of this tree is a valuable source of lumber in Central America and the West Indies. Can cause skin irritation.

Weight: 282g

Native to: Native to New Guinea and the Southwest Pacific islands that thrive in Indonesia.

Latin name: Vitex Cofassus.

The tree has wood whose structure resembles teak, the wood is hard and is usually used by the Makassar Bugis to make Pinisi Ships

The grain is contorted, hard and full of knots resulting in a beautiful mottled birds eye figure.

The timber produces some beautiful patterns, taking an excellent finish.

North African: Tetraclinis artisulate

The burr grows underground as a root burl and is dug out rather than felled. The colour is rich golded brown to orange red. The grain is contorted, hard and full of knots resulting in a beautiful mottled birds eye figure.
The timber produces some beautiful patterns, taking an excellent finish.
