French Edge Skiver

Description

This traditional wooden handled paring or skiving tool can gouge, skive, pair edges and be used to make channels in leather. Useful if you wish to create a fold or crease in thicker leather, or when you want to butt join two pieces.

It can also be worked in a circle to create a countersink.

This Skiver can be used both left and right handed, and can be stropped to keep the blade sharp.

The width of the blade is 6mm (1/4″).
